Some frequently asked questions:
I have been referred to your company by a friend, neighbor, or relative. Can I bring my pet directly to you for aquamation?
Always With Us does not take in any pets directly. I am the sole operator and care for each pet individually on my own. My schedule varies greatly every day based on what needs to be done with each pet and depending on how many pets are currently in my care. I am not able to coordinate timing for pets coming in or picking up pets myself. In-home euthanasia and transport services are listed below, I have a very close relationship with both.
How much does aquamation cost?
My service is only offered through Transitions Veterinary Services and The Caretakers Animal Care. They each have their own pricing schedules based on your location in San Diego, what type of service you require, special requests, etc. Aquamation may range from $150-$500 based on the size of your pet. Additional costs include but are not limited to in-home euthanasia service, transportation, after-hours, long distance, special order keepsake items, etc.
My pet passed away at home, what do I do?
Decomposition starts immediately after death. Place your beloved pet on a nonporous surface or use towels or potty pads under them to avoid leakage of bowels/urine and occasionally blood. Keep them cool, indoors, and away from pests and scavengers. If it is going to be more than a few hours before you are able to arrange for transportation, placing them into a freezer or refrigerator is best if it is a possibility. To get them to me, you’ll want to contact one of the referrals from below for transport.
I used your service for aftercare but I have not received my pets ashes back yet.
My service takes about three weeks. If it has been longer than three weeks, your pet is likely ready and I have tried to contact you. I send text message and email notifications when pets are ready for pick up. If you chose priority shipping, you will receive an email and a text when your pet has shipped, along with tracking information. Click on the link at the top of the page that says Status Updates to check on your pet any time during the process.

I know this isn’t for everyone, but if you are struggling with the loss of your companion and feel that being able to reconnect would be beneficial for your healing, I highly recommend Kelly Fisher. She is a reputable, accurate, and very personable medium who is able to connect with those who have passed. We all know that our pets are not just animal companions, they are our best friends, members of our family, and sometimes the most important beings in our life. Struggling with their loss is often more difficult for people than losing an actual family member. Our “pets” are with us through our most vulnerable times and offer us unconditional love. The bond goes beyond any other. Kelly is able to help you reconnect when you feel like you need clarity or a chance to say goodbye one more time or if you need help knowing what to look for when your pet shows you that they truly are always by your side.

Let them live on in our memories, they are always with us.
